1. Streetspace 2006 #2
The results of the first Streetspace exhibition (2 of 2) "Streetspace is an exhibition that uses the streetscape elements in Lynn and Pearl Alleys as a backdrop for an open-air gallery/promenade featuring urban artists from all over the country such as Maya Hayuk, Buff Monster and Cody Hudson. The exhibitions will open semi-annually, starting in the summer of 2006. In addition to the visual arts, Streetspace organizers will book emerging musicians and entertainers that compliment the exhibition to perform during the opening."

3. Buckeye Building
Renovation of the former Buckeye Building got underway this month on Gay Street. Once the conversion to a hotel is complete it will mean a slight boon for a few local businesses in the area, helping to add to that organic growth we love to see. Gay Street is also up for a $1.65 million streetscape upgrade in the near future. Also captured in this shot are Cafe Brioso, Grip Technologies, Skambo and Meyers Welsh Architecture Design (above H&R Block), just to name a few.

4. Sixty Spring
One of what is currently only a handful of successfully completed and occupied condo projects in downtown Columbus that have made the full journey from concept to reality. As you can see by the surroundings, there is plenty of room to grow.

6. The Brunson
The Brunson building, recently renovated and expanded, sits on N. High St. on the western edge of the the more active core of recent downtown development. You can also get a look at The Elevator Brewery & Draught Haus along with the Lafayette Lofts (under construction) and so of the handy-work of Orange Barrel Media in the form of a mammoth soccer ball on the Brunson itself.

10. Deaf School Park Topiary Garden
This gem of a park was largely unheard of by myself up until a few months ago and completely unvisited by me until this past Saturday. Aside from the riverfront, this is the only sizable park in downtown. Tucked away behind the Columbus Metropolitan Library, the park includes very unique feature: Georges Seurat's Famous post impressionist painting, A Sunday On The Island Of La Grande Jatte, is created in topiary.

11. City Center Green Space
I've often scratched my head about this spot at the corner of S. High St. and Rich St. But…whatever it's intention, it has a lot of potential as the proposed RiverSouth District comes into being in the near future. For whatever the future holds for City Center, this is a part of the land owned by Capitol South on which City Center Mall sits.

We get a good look at at few points of interest in downtown Columbus in this panorama. Straight ahead it one of the formerly controversial wallscapes put up by the folks at Orange Barrel Media. Right next to camera to the left is an extreme close-up of the The Hartman Lofts building. If you spin all the way around you get a look at the future Ohio Lofts building on Main Street.

15. A Connextions Loft Interior
I was given the opportunity to grab a panorama inside a Connextions lofts last November (Thanks Nate) and to date, it is still one of my favorites. I haven't really shown too many of my interior shots but this one is one of the best examples of letting you "experience" a space.
