I hadn't popped my head by Harrison Park for a few months and I was surprised to see as much progress as I did on this most recent visit. The Community Center, the Flats at Harrison Park and the next wave of homes are all underway. Just a few blocks to the east are the Avenue One Lofts which I featured as the Virtual Tour of the week.

Construction on Santer Communities "Avenue One Lofts" project continues to truck along in Harrison West just a few blocks to the east of the Harrison Park project, which is also making significant headway with construction of additional homes and their "Flats at Harrison Park" project.

Looking over Harrison West Park we are situated at the corner of Perry St. and W. Third Ave. in Harrison West, another one of Columbus' up-and-coming urban neighborhood.

The scene at Harrison Park is that of construction these days. One by one the new homes in Harrison West's largest residential development are popping up.

Here's a view from Harrison West's commerical corridor on Third Ave. at the Michigan Ave. intersection. Harrison West is nestled away just to the west of Victorian Village and still has a good stock of affordable homes and its own share of new development and renovations. The Harrison Park project, with 300+ condominium homes under development, put this urban neighborhood on the map as one of the areas with substancial growth.

Located on the northern side of Harrison West one street below W. Fifth Ave., Vermont Place is one of the more unique streets in the area, having an island in the middle.
